Hammitt and Dragon Kim Foundation to ring in Lunar New Year with celebration, fundraising event

Hammitt, Inc., an emerging leader in the prestige handbag market, will host a Lunar New Year celebration and fundraising event in association with Orange County-based nonprofit Dragon Kim Foundation (DKF).

The event is set for Thursday, Jan. 26 from 5-8 p., at Newport Beach’s esteemed Lido House, Autograph Collection, a luxury hotel located near Lido Isle at 3300 Newport Blvd. in Newport Beach.

Hammitt said the event will embody their iconic tradition of elevated – and unforgettable – celebrations. Attendees will enjoy sips, sweets, exclusive styles and a parade of entertaining surprises, all while immersed in a luxe, festive atmosphere. Known for their iconic rivets, soft leather and valued Lifetime Promise, Hammitt designs bags right here in Southern California, with both fashion and functionality in mind. This year marks their 15th anniversary year – the perfect opportunity to host even more celebrations that the brand’s loyal following has come to know and love.

During every celebration, Hammitt is proud to partner with a deserving nonprofit or community organization that’s empowering women and children. At this event, Hammitt will donate in support of the DKF, whose mission is to inspire our youth to impact their communities while discovering and pursuing their passions.

Hammitt has been associated with DKF since 2020, including participation in the foundation’s “Youth in Fashion” fashion show and fundraiser in 2021 that was held at shopping destination South Coast Plaza and featured aspiring teen fashion designers.

The DKF offers a Fellowship program for high school students that includes funding of up to $5,000 for a summer community service project, a dedicated mentor, three immersive weekends of training and a long-lasting community of peers. In February, DKF will announce its seventh Fellowship cohort/class comprising 45 teams from California, Nevada and Arizona.

DKF Co-founder Daniel Kim said, “We’re so happy to partner again with our friends at Hammittand appreciate their generosity and support.” Hammitt Founder and Chief Cheerleader Tony Drockton will receive an award from DKF to acknowledge the company’s support.
